A small and fleshy bump on your skin is a wart. Warts are a result of various strains of human papillomaviruses. It can be contagious and spread from person to person and one part of the body to another.
Anyone can be infected with warts, but children are more prone to warts. People with weak immune systems such as the elderly and others will be certainly affected by warts. Warts may appear at any part of the body such as hands, face, genitals, feet, or under the toe and fingernails.

If a dermatologist is looking for a biopsy, they take a sample of the wart and will look under a microscope. We will provide you with preventive measures such as avoiding shaving near the wart place, do not bite your nails, do not touch another person’s wart, and try not to touch or scratch a wart.
