A stretch mark is a type of scar that develops when our skin stretches or shrinks quickly. The abrupt change in the skin causes the collagen and elastin, which support our skin, to rupture. As the skin heals, stretch marks may appear.
Stretch marks don’t appear due to any specific disease. It is further caused due to unusual changes in the structure of the body. Stretch marks are more likely to be visible during pregnancy, weight gain, growing of a teenager, or if there are any medication side effects.
Our treatment
People expect stretch marks to disappear with time. But, unfortunately, this does not always happen. If provided with proper treatment, then there are chances of stretch marks fading away. You can apply lotions, moisturizers, and prescription creams at a primary stage to treat stretch marks.
And, if the basic treatments don’t work then stretch marks are required to be treated at the clinical level. Our doctors will use several laser therapies to remove your stretch marks at the earliest. Several therapies to fade stretch marks include Pulsed dye laser therapy, Fractional photothermolysis, Microdermabrasion, and Excimer laser therapy.
