There is a difference between micro-pigmentation and Scalp Micropigmentation. Where micro pigmentation is performed using an electric tattoo device, the scalp micro pigmentation will create an illusion to look like natural hair follicles.

Scalp Micropigmentation can be used to treat all forms of hair loss caused due to cancer, alopecia, thinning hairs, and baldness. The dermatologist will do your treatment by applying the topical numbing agent to your scalp. There may be discomfort, but it may differ from person to person.
The doctors will provide you with general guidelines for the treatment of scalp micro pigmentation. You will be directed not to wet your scalp during a bath or by sweat. The treatment is continued in sequences of 4 to 5 hours. The requirement of the treatment depends on the size of the scalp and the amount of hair loss.
