Excimer light is one of the forms of targeted phototherapy which will deliver a specific wavelength of Ultraviolet radiations passed from an excimer laser or an excimer lamp. Both the excimer laser and excimer lamp have similar results, but they do have technical differences.
Excimer light treatment develops narrowband Ultraviolet B of the whole body, and it delivers wavelength between 311-312 nm which is an effective treatment of psoriasis and vitiligo. The disadvantage is the person may have irradiation of the whole body and it usually requires about two sessions to complete the treatment.
